As a small school with a strong family feel, we are seeking a Middle School Math Teacher who enjoys building relationships with students and helping them grow academically and socially.

Our teachers have a meaningful voice in how the Academy operates. We create an engaging, flexible learning environment where educators can be creative and students thrive. This includes small class sizes, nature-based learning opportunities, and a balanced calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver daily math instruction aligned to Michigan standards
• Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of student needs
• Use assessment data to guide instruction and provide targeted support
• Build positive relationships with students and create a strong classroom culture
• Collaborate with grade-level and specials teachers to support the whole child
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and growth
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, meetings, and professional development

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement (EX)
• Strong understanding of middle school math content and best practices
• Ability to differentiate instruction to support a range of student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration with students, families, and colleagues
• Willingness to contribute to a small school environment and community

Salary

• BA Step 0 - $50,000.00
• Additional compensation may be available based on verified years of relevant experience.
