About the Job
Innovative Labs is looking for a Product Development Technician to join our R&D team. What You'll Do
  • Assist Product Development Scientists in preparing bench-top prototypes following defined protocols or specifications
  • Document detailed work and take accurate measurements of samples (weighing, mixing, pH/Brix checks, sensory prep)
  • Maintain laboratory notebooks, sample logs, and ingredient inventory with accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist in preparing Nutrition/Supplement Facts panels under the supervision of a Product Development Scientist
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area
  • Work as a team with other Product Development Technicians and Scientists
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the goals of the department

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Foundational knowledge of food science, chemistry, or nutrition fundamentals
  • Lab proficiency with pH probes, balances, viscometers, sample preparation, and pasteurization
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • An eagerness to learn, strong attention to detail, and the ability to ask well-formed questions
  • Solid time management skills for juggling multiple projects under supervision

Education and Experience
  • Coursework or degree in progress/completed in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, Biochemistry, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on lab experience
  • Prior lab coursework, internship, or bench experience is a plus
  • Basic familiarity with laboratory equipment such as pH probes and balances

The Perks of Joining Our Team
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage-plus a few weeks of paid parental leave when it matters most
  • Paid time off and holidays to help you unwind and recharge
  • Real opportunities to grow your skills and make an impact as we evolve
  • A collaborative team that's adaptable, supportive, and driven to succeed together
  • A 401(k) retirement plan with company contributions to help you build your future

If you're looking to build your career in product development and want to learn from an experienced formulation team, we'd love to hear from you.
