SALARY $17.20 per hour

Description

Reports to the food services supervisor or designee. Assists the cooks and cook helpers in preparation of student meals in compliance with government and management directives.                                                               

Essential Functions:

  1. Perform cleanup and sanitation duties in the food preparation, storage and dish room areas to ensure adequate health standards at all times.
  2. Provide adequate supply of food and transfer merchandise ingredients to cooking area as instructed by the cook or designee.
  3. Student snack bar, clean outside area and other duties as assigned in the Admin Building.


Must be reliable and willing to work evenings and some weekends and in good standing with a privilege level of at least Silver and have to have been on Center for a minimum of 90 days.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a completer and ready for work-based learning.  
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • Must be a current Job Corps Center Student currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts program, preferred.
  • Qualified students will, at a minimum, have their student card and a Silver and above.
