JOB DESCRIPTION
The Culinary Lab Assistant will:
  • measure ingredients and gather required tools for instructor demonstrations prior to the beginning of class with 100% accuracy
  • clean and sanitize all tools, equipment, and appliances used for demonstrations and return them to their correct storage locations
  • gather and organize ingredients and supplies needed for student lab projects
  • organize finished products and repackage foods as appropriate for use in food pantry or other outlets
  • ensure that all excess ingredients are processed and/or packaged to maintain maximum shelf life and utilization as directed by the instructor
  • monitor incidental lab supplies such as disposables and gloves and restock as needed according to a par stock list
  • maintain a clean and orderly workspace by organizing all tools and staple ingredients in the lab
  • follow standards of sanitation and safety at all times
  • follow standards of professionalism when interacting with students and instructor
