Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production and assembly equipment. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting skills to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work rules.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production and assembly machinery.
Diagnose equipment issues by observing machine operation and using testing and measuring instruments.
Dismantle equipment, inspect components, identify defects, and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, conveyors, belts, and control panels.
Perform PLC troubleshooting and support automated equipment systems.
Install and run electrical conduit for 240V systems.
Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Repair and maintain hydraulic presses, spot welders, and other manufacturing equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams.
Adjust, calibrate, and test equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Monitor machinery performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and support production needs as required.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical panels, motors, conveyors, and related equipment.
Experience with automation equipment and systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Must have personal tools necessary to perform maintenance duties.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical degree, certificate, or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
Experience in automotive, metal fabrication, assembly, stamping, or other manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the workday.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, dust, and fumes.
Ability to safely perform maintenance activities using hand and power tools.
