These nurses are highly trained in critical care, closely monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and supporting patients and families through recovery. They work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced, life-saving care and respond quickly to any medical emergencies.

To thrive as a CTICU RN, you need advanced knowledge of cardiovascular and critical care nursing, strong patient assessment skills, and an active RN license, often with ACLS and BLS certifications. Familiarity with cardiac monitoring systems, ventilators, infusion pumps, and electronic health records is essential.
