CTE Teacher - MarketingJOB STATUS: OPEN POSTING DATE: 06/29/2026 CLOSING DATE: 07/03/2026 04:00 PM POSTING NUMBER: 054391 LOCATION: Conroe High School - 001 POSITION TITLE: CTE Teacher - Marketing
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required.
  2. Prepare lessons that reflect accommodation for individual student differences.
  3. Present the subject matter according to guidelines established by Texas Education Agency, board policies, and administrative regulations.
  4. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media, consistent with the needs and capabilities of the student groups involved.
  5. Cooperate with other members of the staff in planning and implementing instructional goals, objectives, and methods in accordance with district requirements.
  6. Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and/or volunteer(s).
  7. Employ the use of technologies in the teaching/learning process.
  8. Assist students in analyzing and improving methods and habits of study.
  9. Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
  10. Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned and may sponsor outside activities approved by the school
  11. Present for students a positive role model that supports the mission of the school district.
  12. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
  13. Establish control in the classroom and administer discipline in accordance with board policies and administrative regulations.
  14. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  15. Assist in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials.
  16. Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents.
  17. Maintain a professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
  18. Use acceptable communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
  19. Participate in the district staff development program.
  20. Demonstrate interest and initiative in professional improvement.
  21. Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
  22. Keep informed of and comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers.
  23. Assume responsibility for compiling, maintaining, and filing all reports, records, and other documents required.
  24. Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
  25. Regular attendance.
  26. Other duties as assigned.

ASSIGNMENTS TO VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION:
  1. Seamlessly integrate District-approved online learning platforms and required software into the planning, delivery, and support of virtual instruction.
  2. Plan, prepare, implement, and evaluate lessons and activities during the standard work hours of the campus at which the teacher is assigned, as well as prolonged or irregular hours.
  3. Be able to communicate with students, parents, and campus and District personnel during the standard work hours of the campus at which the teacher is assigned, as well as prolonged or irregular hours.
  4. Adhere to all professional responsibilities and deadlines including professional communication and responsiveness.
  5. Be flexible, responsive, and positive with students, parents, and staff.
  6. Effectively translate CISD Best Practices into the virtual instructional setting.
  7. Regularly attend and apply District-approved professional development in the most up-to-date practices associated with virtual instruction.
  8. Accurately and timely obtain and report required student data, including attendance, grades, etc.
  9. Dress professionally as you would if you were offering instruction to students in a traditional, in-person setting.
  10. Teach and interact with students from a quiet space, free from distraction, where appropriate confidentiality rules can be followed.
  11. Create a virtual classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
  12. Provide small group and tutoring opportunities for students who are experiencing difficulty in their learning.
  13. Support any extracurricular activities for which you are responsible according to District guidelines.
  14. Attend all required campus and District meetings.
EXPERIENCE: QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification
  • High School diploma, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate for Career and Technical Education
  • Valid work experience as required by Texas Education Agency
