You will support a state agency that helps Texas communities thrive by funding local housing, community development, and essential public assistance programs.
Major Duties
- Requisitions and orders commodities and services using established state guidelines, rules, policies, and laws.
- Reviews requisitions for completeness and regulatory compliance prior to processing IFBs, RFPs, RFOs, and RFQs.
- Prepares, reviews, and tracks purchase orders and contracts through completion.
- Reconciles invoices and processes them for accurate payment.
- Monitors legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to purchasing, procurement, and contract management.
- Prepares and presents detailed reports regarding procurement and contract statuses.
What are we looking for?
- Proven knowledge of state purchasing methods, procurement practices, supply sources, and basic business accounting.
- Ability to interpret complex state regulations, process purchase orders, and track contract lifecycles.
- Strong communication skills to present clear status updates to agency leaders.
- Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD) credential is highly preferred, but not required.

Compensation: $34.00 - $41.00/ hour (Dependent on CTCD certification
- $41.00/hour for active Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD)
- $34.00/hour for non-certified candidates
Length of Engagement: 3 months (ASAP – November)
Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, Standard Business Hours (40 hours/ week)
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
