Job description

CT Supervisor (Weekends) – Role

Full‑time position located at 1906 Belleview Ave SE – Roanoke. Shift: Weekends Only (Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.). Responsible for supervising, coordinating, and staffing CT areas within Imaging Services across Roanoke‑based facilities.

Responsibilities

Provides quality service to all customers in a caring and professional manner, promoting team building and supporting departmental goals, objectives, and mission.

Directly supervises all aspects of department operations, including staffing, training, human resources, performance evaluation, corrective action, problem solving, and dismissal of staff. Provides direction, support, coaching, and mentoring to team members.

Organizes and oversees daily operations and activities, manages timekeeping functions, ensures adequate staff coverage for 24‑hour service, and prepares the department for inspections by the Joint Commission and the American College of Radiology.

Reviews and establishes policies and procedures for the assigned area, oversees cost‑effective materials management, and ensures compliance with all Imaging Services policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Maintains appropriate CEU registry, participates in educational opportunities, and performs technologist duties such as image acquisition and quality control.

Visits physician practices to provide information on CT services, encourages utilization of CT, and gathers feedback on service offerings to improve service needs.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent; graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology; Associate’s Degree in Science preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of functional knowledge and experience in diagnostic radiology with demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered with ARRT in CT and holds an AHA BLS‑HCP certification.
  • Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; prior use of computers.
