Job description

The Radiology Supervisor, MRI leads a great team with cutting-edge scanning technology in a patient-centered Level I Trauma Center. The Supervisor works alongside the team in the MRI Department, overseeing all daily operational and patient care activities, providing frontline leadership to ensure safe, efficient daily operations, including staffing coordination, workflow management, MRI safety oversight, and support for technologists. 

Responsibilities include the provision of diagnostic scanning services to patients, supervision and training of MRI employees, coordination and enhancement of services for attending Radiologists and referring Physicians, quality assurance/improvement, accreditation management, staff education, and communication. The Supervisor also assists the Operations Manager in hiring, directing, and monitoring the work of staff, and recommends and implements changes to improve service delivery. With safety as a primary focus, the Supervisor is also the designated facility MRSO, ensuring that adequate written safety procedures, work instructions, emergency procedures, and operating instructions are issued to all concerned after full consultation with the MRMD/MRRD (and MRSE if needed).

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, day shift, with occasional weekends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology or the equivalent.

  • Five years of experience as a radiologic technologist.

  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

  • Registered as an MRI Technologist with the ARRT.

  • Have obtained an MRSO certification.

  • BLS from an AHA- or ARC-sponsored program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five years of MRI experience.

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Previous leadership experience.

Additional Information:

This is a non-union 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) day shift position, working in Saint Paul, MN. The full salary range for this position is $95,804.80-$143,728 annually, based on experience and internal equity. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits. Our benefits include medical and dental insurance (which begin on the first day of the month following start), 401k with match, disability insurance, fertility benefits, tuition reimbursement, educational reimbursement toward continuing education, and we are a qualified non-profit employer under the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
