CST Tier I Operating Room Details

Essential Job Duties:

  • Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments and equipment.

  • Assist the surgical team during procedures.

  • Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses.

  • Maintain aseptic conditions and infection control protocols.

  • Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.

  • Handle specimens and facilitate their transfer to the laboratory.

  • Clean and restock after each surgery.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and successful surgical outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Must have graduated from an accredited surgical technology program

  • Must have active CST certification

  • Must have active BLS certification

  • CST experience preferred
