Title: Business Analyst

Location: Springfield, IL (Hybrid, travel likely to be 2x a month)

Visa: Any Visa except CPT, TN and GC

Duration: 2 year

Interview Type: Video (2 rounds)

Travel Requirement: Up to 25% on average. Consultants work remote until needed at the client location.

Brief Project Description

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is replacing their legacy SACWIS system with a Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) solution that allows DCFS to leverage advances in cloud-hosted technology, mobility, and security, and is compliant with federal requirements. The DCFS CCWIS Project has defined a comprehensive set of requirements, based on federal and DCFS program requirements and research conducted with other states. DCFS has partnered with CSG Government Solutions to provide PMO including User and Release Acceptance test management services for the project. The PMO team is responsible for executing day-to-day project management activities, testing planning and testing coordination.

 

Position Description

CSG is seeking Business Analysts with 3+ years of Child Welfare experience to join our consulting staff. You will work on highly productive project teams delivering our services to state government agencies nationwide.

 

Responsibilities include

•                          Working as a member of a project team functioning as a business analyst for large-scale technology projects utilizing agile methodologies

•                          Facilitating the elicitation and documentation of business requirements and joint application design sessions

•                          Facilitating User Story Acceptance sessions in conjunction with DCFS Product Managers

•                          Reviewing functional and technical requirements and design specifications

•                          Analyzing business processes and workflows

•                          Conducting quality reviews of design documents and user stories

•                          Conducting quality reviews of test plans and procedures

•                          Participating in refinement of user stories with the product teams

•                          Analyzing requirements traceability throughout the system development life cycle

•                          Creating project documentation including meeting minutes, deliverables, project status reports, and presentations

•                          Tracking issues, risks, action items, and decisions using standard project management techniques and tools

•                          Communicating project issues and risks to the project management team

 

Qualifications include

•                          3+ years of business analyst experience in one or more of the programs above

•                          Expertise with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Teams)

•                          Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•                          Experience with hybrid agile methodologies (SaFE agile experience is a plus)

•                          Experience using and configuring Application Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Microsoft Azure DevOps, Atlassian Jira) is preferred

•                          Familiarity with Comprehensive Child Welfare Information Systems (CCWIS) or Statewide and Tribal Automated Child Welfare Information Systems (S/TACWIS) is preferred
