Description:

Crystal Creamery is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Loader / Class B Delivery Driver for our Hayward Depot. This position is responsible for loading dairy products, preparing customer orders, operating material handling equipment, and making deliveries to customers while ensuring product quality, accuracy, and safety standards are maintained.

Job Summary

The Loader / Class B Delivery Driver accurately selects, stages, loads, and unloads dairy products for shipment. This role operates powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and yard goats, while safely handling products and trailers. The position also operates Class B commercial vehicles to make scheduled deliveries while providing excellent customer service.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trailers and delivery trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Accurately select, stage, and prepare dairy products according to store/customer orders.
  • Verify product quantities, codes, and load accuracy prior to shipment.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, yard goats, and other powered industrial equipment in a safe manner.
  • Maintain proper product handling practices to ensure quality and food safety standards are met.
  • Secure loads and inspect trucks/trailers prior to transportation.
  • Drive Class B delivery trucks to customer locations and complete deliveries according to established schedules.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Prior experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Experience loading/unloading trucks or working in a warehouse, distribution, or food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle dairy products and materials.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting delivery and production schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move product weighing up to required job limits.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated and warehouse environments.
