Job description

ELIGIBLE FOR CMH EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS: NON PRIORITY RECRUITMENT
 
The Senior Business Systems Analyst is primarily concerned with the planning, development and analysis of specific areas and departments within the Hospital.  The Senior BSA acts in a consultant role to key stakeholders of the organization. Responsibilities include the accurate creation, assembly, and communication of all reports and/or detailed analysis and trends needed by various internal and external customers through the use of data to figure out market and business trends for companies to increase profits and efficiency.  Responsible to gather data through a number of ways, from effectively mining computer data through software, reviewing competitor data and industry trends to help develop a picture of where CMH can improve services and provide viable information regarding cost reduction options. Responsible for project management as needed.
Job Requirements                         
Knowledge of /Skill/Ability to:  Demonstrated ability to act in project manager and consulting capacity. Ability to formulate and operationalize new concepts and ideas for improvement.  Demonstrated ability in translating business needs into formal requirements. Demonstrated ability in application design and development processes.  Ability to work independently.  Possess excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to present to large audiences and key stakeholders. Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as strong working knowledge of various software packages.  Must have experience mining and reporting data utilizing various methods such as Microsoft Office Access, Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder, Crystal Reports, or other similar reporting tools.    
License/Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), PMI - Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI – Professional in Business Analysis (PBA) preferred
Education and/or Experience: Minimum of three years of healthcare or business analyst experience required.  Clinical healthcare experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in business, management, accounting, economics, statistics, information science or similar required. A combination of similar education, certifications and work experience would be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance            
Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
