ABOUT THE ROLE
The Quarry Operator position is a multi-skilled position responsible for mining operations.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Operation of mobile equipment required to mine rock (For example: Rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozer, haul trucks and water trucks, motor grader, fuel tanker, hydraulic rock breaker).
  • Promotes Amrize U.S. Safety guidelines and standards, ensuring that safety and compliance requirements are met and followed on customer job sites.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance check-outs, troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and do minor preventative maintenance on mobile equipment.
  • Monitor and react to quality issues (For example: sample drill holes, monitor quality feedback information & adjust mining pattern as necessary).
  • Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Education: High School diploma/GED

Required Work Experience: 1 year of heavy equipment operating

Additional Requirements:

  • Ideal candidates would have experience operating mobile equipment
  • Ability to work in a team based environment
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
