As a CRJ 200 Pilot, your day generally starts with pre-flight briefings, weather analysis, and thorough aircraft inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Throughout each flight, you are responsible for managing all aspects of the aircraft’s operation, monitoring systems, navigating, and communicating with air traffic control and crew members. You will often work closely with your co-pilot and cabin crew to coordinate passenger needs and respond to any in-flight issues. Daily responsibilities also include completing post-flight reports, maintaining accurate logs, and participating in ongoing training to maintain currency and proficiency.
