B&G Foods is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation technician for its packing department in the Cincinnati Crisco manufacturing facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for acquiring the operational skills associated with either the process or packing department as well as gaining advanced E&I expertise. The successful candidate will have consistently demonstrated logic trouble shooting, a desire to develop advanced skills and the ability to communicate and work well with all plant employees. All work must be performed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Aptitude
• Perform E&I activities in a high-performance working environment on a shiftly basis to ensure optimum utilization of materials and manpower to maximize production, safety, quality, and efficiency
• Participate in root cause failure analysis with team members and maintenance leaders for major downtime
• Strong computer skills (JDE, Excel)
• Works accurately with numbers (inputting correct data etc.)
• Proven troubleshooting skills using "Why-Why" tool
• Demonstrated technical skills (i.e. completion of routine maintenance, AM team defect fixes)
• Accurately troubleshoot, coach, and teach operators in our processing and packaging facility
Communication Skills
• Demonstrated ability to articulate thoughts and ideas, verbally and written.
• Communicates and works with other operators, line leaders and the technical leader on E&I issues.
• Participate in training to improve and maintain technical skills, teamwork, creativity, and communication skills
Leadership Skills
• Demonstrated leadership via functional leadership or other forms of leadership
• Actively participates on an AM, PM or Problem Solving/FI team when assigned
• Ability to own self training and qualifications as needed
Thinking/Problem-Solving
• Consistently tracks record of troubleshooting to root cause, and works to completion, taking the lead in the effort
• Leads win-win problem solving within B&G or between B&G and outside contractors, vendors, suppliers
• Ability to work to resolve issues on the team or in the department
Initiative and follow-through
• Ability to recognize a problem and recommend a solution
• Examples of being self-directed and motivated
• Demonstrated ability to meet commitments, deadlines, deliver on results

• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize

QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma plus two years of technical training preferred
• 2-5 years electrical/instrumentation experience preferred
• Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills and knowledge of all crafts, including mechanical, electrical and technical
• Must pass the math test and electrical aptitude test
• Must be willing to flex schedule when need to facilitate training in a timely manner
• Leadership skills including:
• Conflict resolution and problem solving (analytical troubleshooting processes)
• Communication (effective listening, giving and receiving feedback)
• Organization and time management
• Goal and priority setting
• Continuous improvement
• Safety mindset
• Ability to interact cross-functionally and work in a team environment
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift
• Must be willing to work additional overtime as required
• Successfully qualify on operational skills and function as an operator when needed
• Must adhere to the plant's attendance policy
• Perform the necessary physical activity for purposes of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment including:
• Climbing stairs and ladders, standing on, and moving around on platforms, equipment, and concrete floors, working at elevated levels
• Lift objects up to 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques
• Stand and walk at minimum 70% of the time
