PROCESS OPERATOR - Crisco, Cincinnati

Work in the Process Department operating the Deodorizer or Refinery systems to produce Crisco vegetable oil and shortening. This role is currently an 8- hour shift on 2nd, 3rd (non-rotating) and potential schedule change to 12-hour shift. Entry pay is $27.55/hr., advancement potential within 12-18 months to $37.68/hr., plus shift differential. Once fully qualified, employee would earn $40.78/hr. plus $2.00 premium.

PROCESS OPERATOR - Crisco, Cincinnati

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
Monitoring and accurately recording temperatures, pressures, and rates of flow for upward or downward trends
Produce high quality products in a safe and healthy manner.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Flow to work and assist fellow employees as needed.
Loading and unloading trucks/railcars
Perform analytical testing with lab instruments
Performing required preventative maintenance and assist in the troubleshooting of potential issue

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
3+ years related manufacturing experience or equivalent technical/vocational experience preferred.
Selected individuals must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly motivated and responsible, and work well within a team environment.
Use of computers and PLCs in a food processing manufacturing environment is required.
Experience working with processing equipment is preferred.
Must pass Math aptitude and become qualified as a mechanic or E&I


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High-school degree or equivalent is required. Advanced degree a plus.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as SOPs, process flow diagrams, safety rules, GMP's and general instructions. Good communication skills are required.


REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out both oral and written instructions.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions and duties of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to
stand and lift. The employee is required to stand and walk at a minimum of 50% of the time.
The employees must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds.
The employee must be able to squat or kneel and to bend on a frequent basis.
The employee must be able to work in a cold and hot environment.
The employee must be able to work around heights.
The employee must be able to pass colorblind test.
The employee must be able to pass respirator testing requirement.
