Business Development Advisor / In-Home Care Sales & Marketing
Home Instead of Escondido
Full-Time | $70,000-$100,000 Annual Compensation | Base Salary + Sales Bonus
Field/Office hybrid Position | Local Candidates Only
Do you love People? Do you love Building Relationships? Do you love to Make a Difference?
At Home Instead of Escondido, we help seniors live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. We're looking for an energetic, confident, and relationship-driven Business Development Advisor (BDA) to help grow our business and expand our impact in the community.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves meeting people, building relationships, developing business, and achieving measurable results-while doing work that genuinely makes a difference.
The Role
As our BDA, you'll be the face of Home Instead throughout the local community. Your primary responsibility is to develop relationships that generate new client opportunities and referral partnerships.
You'll build relationships with healthcare professionals, senior living communities, hospitals, home health and hospice organizations, physicians, senior centers, care managers, and other organizations serving seniors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers and referral sources.
  • Develop new referral partnerships and grow existing relationships.
  • Represent Home Instead at health fairs, networking events, and community events.
  • Conduct face-to-face presentations to educate potential referral partners about us.
  • Use a consultative sales approach to identify opportunities and generate new business.
  • Manage and grow your territory while consistently working toward sales goals.
  • Maintain precise activity and lead information in our CRM to allow for accurate tracking of the results of your hard work.
  • Collaborate with leadership and the office team on sales and marketing initiatives.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is confident, outgoing, organized, persistent, and genuinely enjoys building relationships.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of sales, business development, or related experience required.
  • Proven success in sales, relationship development, territory management, or business development.
  • Outside/field sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Consultative sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong networking, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable using CRM software.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.

Experience in These Areas is a Plus
Home care • Home health • Hospice • Senior living • Healthcare sales • Senior services • Healthcare referral development • B2B/B2C consultative sales
Existing relationships with local healthcare providers or senior-care organizations are a plus.
This is a Field Position - Not Work from Home
This is a hybrid Field/Office position, with approximately 80% of your time spent in the field and 20% in the office.
You'll spend most of your time meeting referral partners, developing relationships, attending community events, conducting presentations, and generating new business. Office time will be focused on planning, follow-up, CRM management, reporting, and collaboration.
This is not a remote position. Local candidates only.
Compensation & Benefits
$70,000-$100,000 Annual Compensation
  • $70,000 base salary + sales bonus opportunity
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and personal days
  • 401(k) with employer matching
  • Mileage and business expense reimbursement
  • Paid comprehensive training
  • Career advancement opportunities
  • Work-life balance
  • Supportive, collaborative, and fun team environment

Why Home Instead?
You're not simply selling a service-you're helping families find the care and support they need for the seniors they love.
You'll join a close-knit team that values compassion, reliability, trust, teamwork, and results. Your work will directly contribute to improving the lives of seniors and their families throughout our community.
If you're a relationship builder, results-driven self-starter, and great communicator who enjoys getting out into the community and making things happen, we'd love to meet you.
