Job description

Job Description and Responsibilities: This position is for a Mechanical Design Engineer in the AGC/AGV Department of Creform. Creform specializes with providing customers with turn-key solutions for automation of material movement across a warehouse or factory. The engineer in this position would concept, design, develop instructions for build and installation for mechanical designs that are custom to our ever-changing customer base. The applicant would report directly to the Engineering Manager of the department.

Education

·         Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training/education. 

Job Tasks

·         Meet with customers to develop and refine solutions on specific needs and problems

·         3D modeling design and create fabrication/build packages for assembly

·         Ensure production of assemblies is correct

·         Support installation of assemblies when needed at customer sites.

·         Provide on-site customer support

 Job Requirements:

·         Valid driver’s license with clean record for Company Insurance purposes

·         Must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time to customer sites with occasional need for multiple night stays to complete necessary work

·         Must be able to work with hand tools and some power tools.

·         Must be able to move up and down stairs at customer facilities when needed.

·         3D Design software knowledge- preferably Solid works

·         Must be able to manage a project from concept to completion and beyond

·         Auto-CAD experience

·         Organized and able to prioritize several projects at once in different stages of development

·         Bring a Customer-first mentality

·         Self-motivated and be able to work with little or no supervision.

·         Innovative thinking with strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills

·         Be able to communicate to several different departments during a project for its success

Work hours:

Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm, with 1 hr lunch break

Occasional overtime will be necessary based on project demands. 

Weekends and holidays may be required dependent on the needs of the business

Travel is required (varies depending on projects average 10-30% travel)   

Benefits:

This is a non-exempt position with weekly pay periods every Thursday
