Job description

Credit Portfolio Sr Analyst Position will be part of the in‑Business Risk Management Decision Support team overseeing the analysis, implementation, and validation of the Mortgage Business proprietary Automated Underwriting system. Automation is within Dark Matter’s Empower System known as Decision Select. Individual will be responsible to complete independent analysis, development, and implementation documentation of Decision Select AUS that drives underwriting and process requirements, provides computer generated mortgage loan eligibility requirements and loan decision recommendations. Position requires comprehensive knowledge of Wealth RRE mortgage policy, origination systems, understanding of multiple areas within business functions, and how they interact to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for analyzing Wealth Credit Policy Guidelines utilized in Decision Select AUS on a monthly basis.
  • Develop loan eligibility automation requirements in compliance with Credit Policy to compare/contrast the mortgage loan application to assess loan eligibility and loan decision recommendations.
  • Drive timely and high‑quality automation in support of Policy and Process automation, with overarching goal of a defect‑free production implementation.
  • Strengthen strategic impact by effective optimization utilizing risk automation to support the mortgage loan origination system(s) and process efficiencies.
  • Drive and maintain stability of risk automation through testing of vendor and strategic initiatives affecting Citi’s internal fulfillment, external customers, and AUS recommendations.
  • Manage standard processes for scope/change management, risk management, issue management and risk communications.
  • Communicate cross‑functional requirements and understanding of business processes and workflow.
  • Collaborate in identifying process improvements and efficiencies to support business unit goals through dissecting issues and making recommendations.
  • Understand Citi’s approach to managing risk, as described in the Risk Governance Framework, and how it relates to roles and responsibilities.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Ensure escalation of all risks and issues to manager and senior stakeholders in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • 5 years Mortgage Underwriting or 6‑10 years Mortgage Processing required.
  • Expertise in Credit Fundamentals, Credit Policy and Mortgage Lending Programs required.
  • Proficient in Mortgage loan origination systems (LoanFX / Empower).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Mortgage process and origination system and understanding of multiple areas within business functions and how they interact to achieve the objectives.
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills, multi‑tasking capabilities, and the ability to complete assignments within required deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to filter, prioritize and validate complex material.
  • Individual must work well under tight deadlines, manage priorities, and complete assigned tasks with minimal management follow up.
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office product suite.
