About the Role

The Associate Corporate Counsel position provides strategic legal guidance to the Business Services and Government business units within Risk Solutions. We are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to the business, providing practical, solution-oriented legal advice across commercial, regulatory, and product matters. You will lead negotiations for complex agreements, advise on regulatory and compliance issues, support new product development, and guide the integration of acquisitions. This position provides a unique opportunity to influence business strategy while mentoring legal staff and working across multiple business functions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

About the Team

You will be part of a collaborative global legal function that partners closely with product, sales, finance, marketing, compliance, and other stakeholders. The legal team plays a critical role in supporting the business throughout its lifecycle from product development and customer engagement to acquisitions and international expansion. Together, we enable the organization to pursue growth opportunities while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and risk management.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex B2B commercial agreements (SaaS, licensing, reseller, master services, and data privacy/security).
  • Create and update contract templates; provide guidance on escalations and high-priority negotiations.
  • Support the sales team throughout the customer lifecycle, from initial engagement through contract execution.
  • Advise on regulatory, data privacy, marketing, and competition issues impacting current and prospective products.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align commercial terms with legal standards and business goals.
  • Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Support international expansion initiatives and related compliance needs.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including training and contract governance processes.
  • Manage escalations, resolve customer legal inquiries, and drive efficient solutions.
  • Coach and mentor legal staff to support professional growth.
  • Contribute to departmental efficiency by developing and implementing administrative and reporting measures.

Requirements:

  • J.D. or equivalent law degree; licensed to practice law in the United States.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, 3 years preferred.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $104,900 - $174,700. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. Base Pay Range for CO is $104,900 - $174,700. Base Pay Range for IL is $110,100 - $183,500. Base Pay Range for Chicago, IL is $115,400 - $192,200. Base Pay Range for MD is $110,100 - $183,500. Base Pay Range for NY is $115,400 - $192,200. Base Pay Range for New York City is $125,900 - $209,700. Base Pay Range for Rochester, NY is $104,900 - $174,700. Base Pay Range for OH is $99,700 - $166,000.
