Job description

Overview

As a Director of Underwriting Delivery, you'll help drive Concora Credit's Mission to enable customers to Do More with Credit - every single day.

The impact you'll have at Concora Credit:

As Director of Underwriting Delivery, you are the technology and delivery leader who will drive the end-to-end engineering and operational excellence of our credit decisioning systems. You will turn complex, fast-moving underwriting strategies into precise, scalable, production-ready technology, and lead the delivery team of analysts and engineers that makes it all happen.

This isn't a role where you'll be asked to maintain the status quo. You will sit at the intersection of data science, credit risk strategy, and software engineering, with authority and resources to make decisive, lasting change. If you are experienced in effective software engineering and delivery, have experience in underwriting/risk, and are ready to put your thumbprint as a leader on a transformational change, we want to hear from you.

We hire people, not positions. That's because, at Concora Credit, we put people first, including our customers, partners, and Team Members. Concora Credit is guided by a single purpose: to help non-prime customers do more with credit. Today, we have helped millions of customers access credit. Our industry leadership, resilience, and willingness to adapt ensure we can help our partners responsibly say yes to millions more. As a company grounded in entrepreneurship, we're looking to expand our team and are looking for people who foster innovation, strive to make an impact, and want to Do More! We're an established company with over 20 years of experience, but now we're taking things to the next level. We're seeking someone who wants to impact the business and play a pivotal role in leading the charge for change.

Responsibilities

As our Director of Underwriting Delivery, you will:

  • Be a Strategic Leader - Own the vision, deliver the results
  • Transform Innovation - Build what has not been built before
  • Own Team Leadership - Grow people, grow capability
  • Lead Quality & Compliance - Excellence from requirements to production

These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

We know experience comes in many forms and that many skills are transferable. If your experience is close to what we're looking for, consider applying. Diversity has made us the entrepreneurial and innovative company that we are today.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 10+ years leading software engineering and delivery organizations in credit, financial services, or decisioning environments.
  • Experience in modern development practices and in guiding teams through organizational and technical changes: new frameworks, automation, quality standards, development practices, and technologies.
  • Proficiency with enterprise decision engine software such as Experian PowerCurve, Equifax InterConnect, or comparable platforms, and with integrated business logic.
  • Proficiency with enterprise data and analytics tools such as SQL Server, Databricks, CosmosDB, and REST API architecture, JSON/XML data structures, and modern integration patterns at enterprise scale. Azure experience a plus.
  • Experience designing end-to-end observability and analytics pipelines that surface actionable, real-time performance insights.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and the ability to maintain full audit trails of automated decisions.
  • Solid collaboration and communication skills, a focus on building strong relationships, and a desire to foster an environment of mutual support and success.

What's In It For You:

  • Medical, Dental and Vision insurance for you and your family
  • Relax and recharge with Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • 6 company-observed paid holidays, plus 3 paid floating holidays
  • 401kย (after 90 days) plus employer match up to 4%
  • Pet Insurance for your furry family members
  • Wellness perks including onsite fitness equipment at both locations, EAP, and access to the Headspace App
  • We invest in your future through Tuition Reimbursement
  • Save on taxes with Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Peace of mind with Life and AD&D Insurance
  • Protect yourself with company-paid Long-Term Disability and voluntary Short-Term Disability
