Job description

Are you an excellent, creative writer with sharp political instincts who wants to help elect more Democrats and pass progressive policies nationwide? We want to meet you.

We're the premier direct mail firm in Democratic and progressive politics. Our clients include senators, governors, members of Congress, mayors, and local officials, as well as labor unions, pro-choice organizations, and environmental groups.

We're seeking a Political Creative Writer to take lead ownership of persuasive mail across multiple campaigns, working closely with our account executives and graphic designers to guide pieces from concept to completion. This is a last-minute hire for the home stretch of the 2026 cycle we're moving quickly and want to start someone within days, not weeks.

Ideal Candidate

Writes well, quickly, and correctly

Is a creative thinker who can conceptualize artwork that graphic designers can execute

Is a stickler for correct grammar with a sharp eye for proofreading

Thinks visually: can marry a clever headline to a compelling image

Is passionate about electing Democrats and advancing progressive goals

Works well with others and leaves ego at the door

Can juggle multiple simultaneous projects with competing deadlines

Remote pro with excellent, proactive communication skills

Has some familiarity with polling, political messaging, and persuasion or GOTV tactics

Has two or more cycles of campaign experience, or a compelling portfolio of persuasive work with references

This is a remote position, but applicants should plan to work East Coast hours. Our workload is full gas through Election Day — expect long days and weekends. It's not a 9-to-5 job, but it's meaningful, fast-paced work with hands-on experience in Democratic politics. The position runs through October 2026, the end of the election cycle.

Question 1

In two sentences: what makes a piece of direct mail get read instead of trashed?

Question 2
