To thrive as a Creative Window Display Designer, you need a strong background in visual merchandising, spatial design, and an eye for aesthetics, often supported by a degree in design or a related field. Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and 3D modeling tools is typically required. Job description

The Creative Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of in-store signage—from initial brief and creative development through production, delivery, and installation. This role ensures that all store signage is executed with precision, reflects brand standards, and supports key business initiatives across retail, marketing, and merchandising. The ideal candidate is a highly organized project leader with strong retail instincts and a passion for transforming creative ideas into compelling in-store experiences.

Project & Workflow Management
  • Own the end-to-end workflow for all in-store signage, including seasonal floor sets, promotional signage, window displays, fixture graphics, wayfinding, and store-specific requests.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, calendars, and critical paths to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Facilitate the creative briefing process—partnering with Buying, Merchandising, Creative, and Marketing to define goals, deliverables, and brand requirements.
  • Manage routing, feedback integration, and approvals across Buying, Merchandising, Creative, Marketing, Visual, Art, and Leadership teams.
Creative Execution & Production
  • Ensure accuracy of all signage content, including pricing, product information, legal copy, translations, and brand guidelines.
  • Partner with Art Department to approve costs, materials, and maintain production quality standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as the central liaison among Creative, Visual Merchandising, Store Operations, Marketing, and external print vendors.
  • Work closely with Store Operations to ensure signage packages are clear, easy to execute, and aligned with store capabilities.
  • Support Visual Merchandising in developing signage strategies that enhance the customer experience and support brand storytelling.
  • Attend all in person mock store walk throughs for signage review.
Budgeting, Tracking & Operational Excellence
  • Maintain signage libraries, version control, and documentation for all store types.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying risks, solving issues, and maintaining smooth production cycles.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate creative quality.
  • Track and manage budgets for signage production, installation, and distribution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate bottlenecks across Creative, Production, and Operations.
  • Implement best practices in shipping, fulfillment, and materials handling to support agile retail needs.

  • 5–7+ years of experience in creative operations, project management, visual merchandising operations, or print production—preferably within the retail or fashion industry.
  • Strong understanding of retail environments, signage systems, print production, and store rollout processes.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Workfront, Monday.com, Basecamp).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills—able to translate creative vision into operational steps.
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced retail calendar.

Success Looks Like
  • Seamless execution of all signage across store fleets.
  • Clear processes and communication that enable creative and cross-functional teams to work efficiently.
  • High-quality in-store visuals that support brand identity and drive commercial results.
  • Stores receive accurate, on-time signage that is easy to install and elevates the customer experience.
