What is creative partnerships?

Creative Partnerships refer to collaborative relationships between organizations, brands, artists, or agencies designed to develop innovative content, campaigns, or projects. These partnerships leverage the combined strengths and creative resources of each party to achieve shared goals, such as reaching new audiences, enhancing brand image, or producing unique work. Creative Partnerships can take many forms, including co-branded initiatives, joint marketing campaigns, or cross-industry collaborations. Successful creative partnerships often result in mutually beneficial outcomes and can drive significant value for all involved.

How do creative partnerships professionals typically collaborate with internal teams to develop successful campaigns?

The Opportunity

Lingo is redefining how people understand and engage with their own health and we're looking for a Creative Director who can match that ambition with world-class creative work. This is a leadership role for a creative who has built their foundation in design, art direction, and visual storytelling, and who brings the strategic depth to shape not just how we look, but how we show up in the world and why it matters.

You'll lead the creative vision across brand, campaigns, and content, translating business goals into breakthrough ideas and exceptional creative work. You'll be responsible for evolving the Lingo brand, elevating the quality of everything we put into the market, and ensuring every touchpoint feels distinctive, cohesive, and unmistakably Lingo.

This role reports directly to the Director of Brand and Creative and sits at the intersection of brand strategy, creative leadership, and visual storytelling.

What You'll Work On

CREATIVE STRATEGY & LEADERSHIP

  • Own the creative strategy across brand and campaign initiatives, ensuring all work is rooted in a clear point of view and a deep understanding of the Lingo audience
  • Lead creative concepting sessions, bringing a designer's instinct for craft, simplicity, and emotional impact to every brief
  • Translate business objectives and marketing briefs into compelling creative platforms, not just executions
  • Champion creative consistency and quality across all channels, from performance ads and social to packaging and brand campaigns
  • Develop and evolve the visual identity, ensuring it is distinct, durable, and deeply human

DESIGN & CREATIVE DIRECTION

  • Lead the creative development of campaigns, content, and brand experiences across all customer touchpoints
  • Set the standard for what great creative looks like at Lingo, providing hands-on guidance and feedback to designers, agencies, freelancers, and creative partners
  • Drive the development and evolution of brand guidelines, design systems, and creative frameworks that the broader team can work from
  • Ensure every piece of creative work reflects a high level of craft, strategic thinking, and attention to detail
  • Balance brand building and business objectives, delivering work that is both creatively exceptional and commercially effective

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

  • Partner closely with copywriters and content leaders to ensure words and visuals work in genuine creative harmony
  • Work alongside brand, product, and growth marketing teams to bring a cohesive creative vision across every customer touchpoint
  • Present creative work to senior stakeholders with clarity, confidence, and strategic conviction
  • Manage and brief external creative partners, agencies, production teams, photographers, illustrators, and freelancers, ensuring the work lands to brief and to standard

TEAM & CULTURE

  • Help build a culture where craft is celebrated and creative thinking is everyone's job
  • Mentor designers and creative talent and contribute to the development of a high-performing, collaborative creative team
  • Foster an environment of curiosity, experimentation, and creative excellence
  • Stay close to culture, design, technology, health, and wellness trends to ensure Lingo's creative output stays relevant and resonant

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10-15 years of experience in creative roles, with a clear trajectory through design, art direction, and creative leadership

  • Proven track record leading creative strategy and execution for consumer brands; health, wellness, lifestyle, or technology experience a strong plus

  • A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional design craft, smart strategic thinking, and the range to work across brand, digital, content, and campaign

  • Experience leading integrated creative development across multiple disciplines, including design, copy, content, and production

  • Deep experience developing and evolving brand identities, visual systems, and creative platforms

  • Agency, in-house, or hybrid background welcome; experience working in fast-moving, founder-led, or scale-up environments is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • A genuine love of design and a belief that great creative is a strategic act, not a finishing touch

  • The ability to zoom out to brand strategy and zoom in to a single design detail with equal precision

  • Strong presenter. You can take a room through a creative story and make it land

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by building; this is not a role for those who need all the answers before starting

  • Natural collaborator who makes the people around them better

  • Strong creative judgment and a relentless commitment to raising the quality of the work
