The Warehouse Associate supports day-to-day warehouse operations with a primary focus on shipping and receiving, while also assisting with production, equipment operation, inventory control, and quality processes as needed. This role is essential to maintaining efficient workflows, high product quality, and a safe, organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities while collaborating across warehouse and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

The Warehouse Associate performs a range of duties including but not limited to the following

Shipping & Receiving (Primary)

  • Prepare, pack, and label outgoing shipments in accordance with customer orders and company standards
  • Generate shipping documentation (packing lists, bills of lading, etc.) and stage orders for carrier pickup
  • Receive and inspect inbound shipments; verify quantities and quality against documentation
  • Report damages, discrepancies, or shortages promptly to the Warehouse Manager
  • Accurately update inventory records in the warehouse management system
  • Safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks)
  • Store, relocate, and stage materials according to location standards, FIFO practices, and space optimization
  • Pick orders accurately and verify order completeness and quality prior to shipment

Warehouse, Production & Equipment Support (As Needed)

  • Operate production and finishing equipment (e.g., extruder, laminator, die press, slitter, printers) after training
  • Assist with scheduled equipment maintenance, safety inspections, and basic troubleshooting
  • Follow lock-out/tag-out and all equipment safety procedures
  • Support Sign Shop and production teams with standard and custom product fulfillment Assist with assembly of samples, promotional kits, and sales support materials

General Duties

  • Participate in safety training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support inventory cycle counts and audits
  • Maintain warehouse organization using 5S and lean manufacturing principles
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 12 years of warehouse or shipping/receiving experience required
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience using warehouse or inventory management systems
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic math ability
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting workloads
  • Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

Shift/Hours:Full-time, MondayFriday; 7:30 am 4:00 pm
Location:In Office (Not eligible for remote work)
Pay Range:$20.00 - $22.00 / Hour DOE


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods
  • Ability to move around the warehouse and operate heavy machinery as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds


Working Conditions

  • Warehouse environment with fluorescent lighting
  • Regular interruptions and moderate noise levels
