General Description:
The Creative Services Senior Manager leads the implementation of the Firm's creative strategy, ensuring visual identity is expressed in a way that is distinctive, cohesive, and aligned with brand strategy across all channels and touchpoints. This position will translate brand strategy into clear design systems, guidelines, and scalable approaches that elevate the firm's presence in the market while aligning with the vision of the Director of Brand, Communications and Digital Media. This role oversees creative operations, establishes efficient workflows, and ensures consistent high-quality execution across all deliverables.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

Creative Strategy & Brand Stewardship

  • Partner with the Director of Brand, Communications and Digital Media to implement and evolve the firm's visual identity and creative approach.
  • Translate brand strategy into firmwide creative standards, guidelines, and design systems that ensure consistency and quality.
  • Ensure the firm's brand is expressed in a way that is distinctive, authentic, and relevant to target audiences across practices, industries, and channels.
  • Provide creative direction for high-profile, firmwide initiatives and priority projects, escalating key decisions as appropriate.

Creative Operations & Process Optimization

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of creative workflows, processes, and tools to enable efficient, scalable delivery.
  • Oversee project intake, prioritization frameworks, and resource allocation in partnership with Creative Services Managers.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline production, improve turnaround times, and enhance overall team effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices for creative operations, including templates, asset management, and production standards.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to Creative Services Managers and the broader creative team.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support team development, including skill-building, feedback, and career progression.

Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Partnership

  • Serve as a senior advisor to marketing, business development, and firm leadership on creative execution, in close partnership with the Director of Brand, Communications and Digital Media.
  • Guide stakeholders in defining objectives and translating business needs into effective creative solutions.
  • Manage complex or high-visibility projects, ensuring alignment with firm priorities and brand standards.
  • Navigate competing priorities and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

Vendor Management & External Partnerships

  • Oversee relationships with external creative vendors, including designers, agencies, printers, and production partners.
  • Ensure vendor work meets the firm's quality standards, timelines, and budget expectations.
  • Identify and engage external partners as needed to support specialized or large-scale initiatives.

Additional Expectations

  • Expected to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule and full attention to and engagement in work activities on behalf of the firm during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by applicable law.
  • Special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 8-12 years of experience in creative services, graphic design, or related roles, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in creative direction, brand management, and leading complex, multi-channel initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and strong familiarity with digital and print production.

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • Experience in a law firm or similar professional services organization.
  • Experience operating in a matrixed or agency-style environment supporting multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with creative project management tools, digital content platforms, and asset management systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
