JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

You’ll use your caring attitude, creative nature and excellent communication and collaboration skills in the classroom. Among your responsibilities will be:

  • Craft weekly lesson plans using Kiddie Academy's unique Life Essentials® curriculum, catering to the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of every child.
  • Enrich playtime with linguistic tools and activities, deepening conversations to enhance learning, critical thinking, and emotional stability.
  • Delight in watching your students flourish, routinely observing and assessing each child's growth using our tools.
  • Foster a trusting bond with your students' parents through consistent written and spoken communication, parent-teacher meetings, and incident updates.
  • Uphold your students' health and comfort by ensuring a neat, safe, and tailored classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with your co-teacher to evenly distribute daily responsibilities.
  • Contribute to building a united and uplifting team alongside fellow staff members.

EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:

An Applicant who STANDS OUT will have the following

  • Completion of High School or GED program
  • Must be 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Associate or Bachelors in Early Childhood education or related human, family, health fields or CDA
  • Ability to obtain required childcare clearances – State Police, Child Abuse, NSOR, and FBI Fingerprinting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Has knowledge of childcare programming, safety and emergency first-aid procedures, program management and customer service principles
  • Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
  • Is highly motivated and takes direction well with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working in teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding ability to listen and follow-up on issues constructively
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
  • Meets background check eligibility
