Position Summary:

We are looking for you - dynamic, best-in-class talent - to join theOmnicom Media team as a Social Media Strategist. In this role, you will work closely with team members to develop informed, smart and creative, social strategies for clients, provide a fresh, new perspective on the ever-changing social landscape, and publish directly on social platforms on behalf of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Active always-on channel + content management for Nike in partnership with Nike's Global social team (based in Beaverton, OR) and NYC-based internal teammate for optimal time zone coverage during planned and reactive social moments in sport
  • Test, QA, and publish all social organic posts for the aforementioned handles, with agility, operational excellence, and flawless execution
    • All posts are tested and approved in closed, live environment for approval
  • Manage usage calendar for rights expiring content and remove content from platforms when rights expire
  • Manage project tracker within Airtable, inclusive of post info, metadata governance for creators/partners and consistency across all organic social posts
  • Create qualitative reports focusing on audience observations and relevant social platform updates to drive insights for clients and agency partners
  • Manage quarterly and campaign reporting, analyzing data to inform clients of insights on what's working across organic social activity and creative
  • Provide guidance on social posting cadence by platform according to industry best practices and the client's needs
  • Provide your own expertise and perspective on social media best practices and produce POVs for internal teams as well as clients
  • Provide inspiration and innovative uses for social media platforms to internal media and strategy teams to bring first to market opportunities to the client
  • Research and assessment of key new-to-market platforms, identifying the feasibility and use cases for client
  • Build bi-annual Social Media Playbooks inclusive of industry trends, landscape updates and platform best practices including content, engagement, and audience insights to help inform local test and learn agendas
  • Work with social platforms (e.g., Meta, X/Twitter, Snapchat, Google/YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, TikTok, etc.) to support thought leadership development and new tactics and identify new opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with organic clients, paid social, project management and analytics teams, internally and with client-specific partners, to complete client work efficiently
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, emerging platforms, audience behaviors and platform best practices
  • Collaborate with the social strategy team and associated agencies on ad hoc projects to help drive new business opportunities for KINESSO

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of community management and social strategy experience
  • Experience in mining insights, building social strategies, planning editorial calendars, community management and social reporting preferred
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for digital marketing with strong working knowledge of the social media landscape
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with an emphasis on complete accuracy
  • Team player who can balance multiple workstreams, collaborate effectively and communicate clearly
  • Confidence in executing tasks independently, working with remote team members, and interacting with peers and senior executives within KINESSO and at partner agencies
  • Deep knowledge and expertise across all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, Snapchat, Reddit, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.)
  • Practical experience with today's social listening, community management, and measurement tools. Experience with Emplifi, Sprinklr Quid and Pathmatics is preferred
  • Passion for sports and engrained in sports culture (whether that's sneaker + streetwear to fitness + wellness to sports fandom) is a big plus!
