Mechanical Design Engineer to join its multi-disciplinary design and development team. This is a hands-on role ideal for an experienced and creative engineer with a strong background in mechanical product development, CAD design, and assembly drawings.

Working across the full product life cycle—from concept development to manufacturing support—the successful candidate will contribute to the design of bespoke, high-precision mechanical systems tailored to customer requirements. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to manage complex tolerances, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Design complex mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks and manage files within PDM systems.

Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure accurate component fit and function, especially within linear motion systems.

Produce technical documentation including schematics (via DraftSight), Bill of Materials, Change Notes, and Build Instructions.

Support new product development projects as well as continuous improvement on legacy designs.

Assist with quality checks, manufacturing processes, and design validation activities in collaboration with production teams.

Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and European regulatory standards (e.g., CE marking).

Provide technical support to internal teams and contribute to customer specification discussions.

Proficient in 3D and 2D CAD tools: SolidWorks and DraftSight.

Solid background in the design of machined and sheet metal components, precision assemblies, and mechanical systems.

Strong working knowledge of engineering mathematics, tolerance analysis, and mechanical principles.

Ability to create and interpret detailed technical documentation.

Collaborative approach and excellent verbal/written communication.

Experience with motion control systems, pneumatics, or applications in the semiconductor industry.

Understanding of the Machinery Directive and other product compliance frameworks.

This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work on technically challenging projects in a supportive and innovative environment.
