Job description

Secret Level is building Liquid Engine, a next-generation platform for AI-driven content creation-bringing structure, speed, and intelligence to modern production workflows.
We're looking for a Creative Engineer to join the team-someone who can operate at the intersection of engineering, generative AI, and creative production. This role is for builders who not only understand the tools, but know how to push them, combine them, and turn them into scalable workflows.
You'll work closely with engineers, producers, and artists to design, build, and evolve how AI is used across real projects.
What You'll Do
  • Design and build end-to-end generative workflows using modern AI tools and APIsDevelop new creative capabilities using platforms like ComfyUI, Kling, Google Veo, Seedance, Higgsfield, and Nano Banana
  • Translate creative direction into repeatable, parameterized systems
  • Build tools and abstractions that make complex workflows usable by non-engineers
  • Integrate generative tools into Liquid Engine via APIs, pipelines, and orchestration layers
  • Evaluate and iterate on workflows to optimize for quality, cost, and speed
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop concepts, shots, and sequences
  • Contribute to internal libraries, templates, and reusable workflow components
  • Help define best practices for AI-native production workflows

What We're Looking For
Core Skills
  • Strong engineering background (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
  • Deep hands-on experience with generative AI tools and workflows
  • Experience building or customizing pipelines in tools like ComfyUI or similar
  • Strong understanding of how to control and guide generative outputs
  • Ability to take ideas from concept through production-ready systems
  • Comfort working across APIs, scripts, and UI-based tools

Creative Production Experience
  • Strong creative instincts-understanding of composition, motion, or storytelling
  • Experience working in production environments (film, content, advertising, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with modern generative tools (Kling, Veo, Seedance, Higgsfield, Nano Banana)
  • Familiarity with node-based or graph-based creative systems
  • Experience with GPU workflows or inference optimization
  • Background in VFX, motion design, or technical art
  • Experience building internal tools or creative tooling
  • Ability to evaluate outputs critically and iterate toward quality

How You Work
  • You are both technical and creative-comfortable in code and in concept
  • You move quickly and iterate in real time
  • You are tool-agnostic and constantly exploring new platforms
  • You focus on what works in production, not just what demos well
  • You simplify complexity into usable systems
  • You collaborate deeply with both engineers and creatives

Why Join Secret Level
  • Work at the frontier of AI-native content creation
  • Help define how generative tools are used in production
  • High ownership and creative impact from day one
  • Small, senior team operating at high velocity
  • Opportunity to shape next-gen storytelling workflows
