Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

As a member of the Universal Creative senior leadership team, the Senior Vice President, Global Project Hub is responsible for establishing the enterprise governance framework, project controls, standards, and operational processes that enable successful project execution across all Universal Creative portfolios.

The Senior Vice President provides strategic leadership for the Global Project Hub, leading a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts responsible for enterprise estimating, planning and scheduling, project controls, financial governance, logistics, reporting, and delivery methodologies. The role establishes enterprise standards, provides executive advisory support, and drives consistency, accountability, and operational excellence across the global project portfolio.

Serving as the enterprise authority on project governance, this position partners with portfolio leadership to provide strategic oversight, financial insight, risk management, and best practices that improve project performance while ensuring projects remain aligned with Universal Creative's business objectives.

The Senior Vice President also serves as the primary business liaison to executive leadership across Universal Creative portfolios, supporting long-range portfolio planning, strategic communications, organizational alignment, capital planning, and budget development while cultivating executive relationships with internal stakeholders and joint venture partners to ensure successful delivery of enterprise objectives.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Global Project Hub Leadership
    • Provide strategic vision and leadership for the Global Project Hub, aligning enterprise project support functions with Universal Creative business objectives.
    • Lead multidisciplinary teams of subject matter experts responsible for estimating, planning and scheduling, project controls, logistics, architectural and engineering support, reporting, and enterprise project methodologies.
    • Establish enterprise standards that enable consistent execution, operational excellence, and scalable support across all global portfolios.
    • Develop organizational capabilities and leadership talent that strengthen enterprise project delivery and continuous improvement.
    • Serve as the primary business liaison with executive leadership across Universal Creative portfolios, ensuring strategic priorities remain aligned with enterprise objectives.
  • Enterprise Governance & Project Controls
    • Establish and govern enterprise-wide project management standards, methodologies, stage gates, approval processes, and project controls across all Universal Creative portfolios.
    • Develop and maintain standardized approaches for scheduling, estimating, forecasting, reporting, change management, cost controls, and risk management.
    • Drive consistency in project delivery methodologies while continuously improving governance frameworks, operational processes, and performance metrics.
    • Lead enterprise adoption of emerging technologies, digital tools, and industry best practices that enhance project execution and organizational effectiveness.
    • Establish governance frameworks and enterprise standards for the engagement, performance, and oversight of consultants, contractors, manufacturers, fabricators, vendors, and strategic partners, ensuring consistent expectations, accountability, quality, and delivery excellence across all portfolios.
    • Develop enterprise processes supporting procurement governance, correspondence, RFIs, directives, submittals, meeting documentation, project controls, and change management that enable predictable project execution across the organization.
  • Financial & Business Governance
    • Establish enterprise financial governance standards supporting capital project planning, estimating, forecasting, and budget development.
    • Provide executive oversight and strategic guidance regarding project financial health, cost trends, contingency utilization, forecasting accuracy, and budget realism.
    • Partner with Finance and portfolio leadership to improve capital planning, financial transparency, and executive decision-making.
    • Evaluate enterprise financial performance metrics and recommend improvements that optimize investment decisions and project outcomes.
    • Support development and communication of long-range planning strategies across Universal Creative portfolios while aligning financial priorities with enterprise objectives.
  • Executive Advisory & Portfolio Support
    • Serve as the executive advisor to portfolio leadership, providing strategic guidance regarding project controls, schedule recovery, estimating accuracy, financial performance, governance, enterprise risk, and organizational effectiveness.
    • Partner with executive leadership to identify organizational risks, remove barriers, and implement enterprise solutions that improve project delivery across all portfolios.
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships across Universal Creative, Universal Destinations & Experiences, portfolio leadership, and external partners to ensure cross-functional alignment and successful execution of enterprise initiatives.
    • Provide executive oversight for enterprise procurement strategies, vendor performance, sourcing approaches, and strategic partnerships that improve quality, consistency, and long-term organizational value.
    • Cultivate executive relationships with joint venture partners and external stakeholders to support collaboration, portfolio integration, and successful execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
    • Champion a culture of operational excellence through continuous improvement, enterprise performance measurement, benchmarking, and process optimization.
    • Develop and monitor enterprise KPIs that measure organizational effectiveness and project performance.
    • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve organizational efficiency, and strengthen executive decision-making across the Global Project Hub.
    • Lead organizational transformation initiatives that improve enterprise capability, governance maturity, and operational excellence.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Finance or related discipline required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Architecture or Engineering license preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 

15+ years of progressive executive leadership experience in project governance, project controls, capital project management, portfolio management, or large-scale development organizations, including responsibility for enterprise scheduling, estimating, financial oversight, governance frameworks, organizational leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence. Global leadership experience strongly preferred.
