Job Description

We're looking for a mid to seniorlevel Video Editor who brings both technical mastery and creative intuition to the table. You'll help define the visual language of Cricut's video content-educational, inspirational, productdriven, and communityfocused. This role is perfect for an editor who can balance craftsmanship with efficiency, who loves building clean workflows and maintaining organized, wellmanaged project files and archives as much as building emotional resonance, and who understands how to translate a brand's heart into compelling visual storytelling. You'll play a key role in shaping how millions of makers experience Cricut's products, stories, and community.

What You'll Do:

Lead Editorial Craft:

  • Own editing for highimpact brand, product, and community videos-from concept to final delivery.
  • Shape narrative flow, pacing, and emotional tone to reflect Cricut's warm, empowering brand voice.
  • Provide editorial guidance and mentorship to junior editors and contractors.
  • Contribute creative ideas, editorial approaches, and visual concepts that influence how Cricut tells stories across platforms.

Elevate Visual Storytelling:

  • Create polished motion graphics, animated elements, and light compositing that align with Cricut's visual identity.
  • Collaborate with designers, producers, and creative directors to develop templates, motion systems, and repeatable assets.
  • Edit a wide range of content including tutorials, product launches, brand campaigns, social content, and community stories.

Color, Finish & Quality Control:

  • Perform advanced color correction and grading in DaVinci Resolve to maintain a consistent, premium Cricut look.
  • Ensure all content meets the highest standards of clarity, accessibility, and brand alignment.

Audio & Final Mix:

  • Execute audio cleanup, mixing, and leveling to deliver clean, polished sound across platforms.
  • Maintain consistency in tone and quality across all content types.

PostProduction Leadership:

  • Manage endtoend post workflows including ingest, timeline structure, versioning, and delivery.
  • Maintain and evolve organized project structures, archives, and longterm media libraries that support a highvolume content pipeline.
  • Support and optimize Resolve Cloud workflows for collaborative editing environments.
  • Help shape postproduction best practices and contribute to the evolution of Cricut's creative standards.

CrossTeam Collaboration:

  • Work closely with creative directors, producers, product, education, and marketing teams to bring maker stories and product experiences to life.
  • Use Frame.io to streamline feedback loops and ensure clarity across stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required:

  • 4-7+ years of professional editing experience, ideally in a brand, studio, or highvolume content environment.
  • Expert proficiency in DaVinci Resolve (Edit, Fusion, Color, Fairlight).
  • Strong motion graphics and compositing skills preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex postproduction pipelines and maintain impeccable organization.
  • Deep understanding of codecs, color spaces, delivery standards, and modern post workflows.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work autonomously while juggling multiple projects.
  • A passion for storytelling, creativity, and elevating the maker community.
  • Editing reel or portfolio of relevant editing work.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Resolve Cloud collaboration.
  • Experience with Frame.io review workflows.
  • Audio mixing or sound design experience.
  • Familiarity with ACES or DaVinci Wide Gamut workflows.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding other editors.
  • Personal interest in crafting, DIY, or maker culture.
  • Experience with collaborative cloudbased post workflows.
