Job description

AM Shift: 7am - 3:30 pm | Every third weekend rotation

Creative Dining Services is looking for a Full Time Utility staff member! This role works to ensure Phelps Dining Hall on the Hope College Campus is clean, sanitary, safe and suitable for food preparation and the customer experience.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensures trash bins are clean and emptied as needed throughout the day. Picks up trash and debris around dock, employee entrance and landscaping areas
  • Keeps the dock and receiving area clean and organized at all times
  • Assists in cleaning back of house (i.e. work tables, walls, etc.) and front of house (i.e. guest tables, dispensers, walls, carpets, tables)
  • Cleans employee restrooms and checks all the paper towel and soap dispensers, and refills them daily
  • Willing to help in the dishroom when needed

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
