Job Title: Marketing Manager
Position Location: Raleigh, NC. Hybrid
Job Summary:
The Marketing Manager is a senior, hands-on leader responsible for driving Coastal's brand, growth, and member engagement across all traditional and digital channels. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role oversees daily marketing and digital operations, leads integrated campaigns, optimizes online platforms, and leverages data to guide decision-making. The Manager partners closely with creative and cross-functional teams to translate strategic goals into effective, measurable marketing and digital initiatives driving growth, product penetration and ROI. This position ensures strong brand consistency, improved member experiences, and high-impact, results-driven marketing performance across multiple markets.
As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be:
(30%) Planning & Integrated Execution
  • Develop strategic and integrated marketing plans, along with supporting action plans and calendars to drive membership growth, product adoption, brand strength, and deeper member relationships.
  • Set clear goals and timelines for each initiative.
  • Define asset requirements and coordinate cross-functional execution in collaboration with the VP of Marketing to ensure timely, effective campaign delivery.
  • Track, measure, and report on performance and ROI while continuously refining processes, workflows, and team alignment to improve efficiency, productivity, and results.

(20%) Creative Collaboration
  • Partner with the VP of Marketing, Creative Director, and business line leaders to shape the visual, messaging, and strategic direction of marketing and digital assets.
  • Plan and lead marketing campaigns and projects through collaboration with the VP of Marketing and Creative Director.
  • Collaborate across departments to translate business goals into impactful campaigns, ensuring brand consistency, effective execution, and strong marketing ROI.
  • Oversee vendor relationships to ensure creative excellence, brand consistency, and cost-effective delivery.

(20%) Research, Data Analytics and Reporting
  • Manage and leverage the customer data platform (CDP) and other marketing technology to support data-driven marketing strategies, segmentation, and marketing automation for improved targeting and outcomes.
  • Analyze member and competitor data to identify opportunities and strengthen market positioning along with digital performance trends to guide optimization.
  • Prepare and present performance reports and insights to guide ongoing campaign optimization.

(20%) Digital Leadership & Channel Optimization
  • Oversee strategy, execution, and optimization of all digital marketing channels including website, social media, blogs, email, SMS, and digital advertising.
  • Ensure brand alignment, strong messaging, and high conversion across all platforms.
  • Lead digital content planning, campaign development, and user experience enhancements to support member engagement and business line growth.

(10%) Budget and Performance Management
  • Develop, manage, and monitor campaign marketing budgets across traditional and digital channels.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess effectiveness, demonstrate ROI, and inform resource allocation and results reporting.
