Job description

Graphic Designer

JKR Windows | St. George, UT | Full-Time | Reports to: Senior Creative Director

Portfolio required. Applications submitted without a portfolio will not be reviewed.

About JKR Windows

JKR Windows is a well-established company that's serious about growth. We're one of the fastest-growing replacement window companies in the country. Founded in 2018, we're scaling fast across multiple states. We hire talent-dense teams, pay above market, and build systems that allow great people to do their best work. We're not a big slow corporate environment, and we're not a chaotic startup. We're a real company with real standards.

But the work means something bigger than windows. We believe every person can find a better path forward from wherever they are. That belief shapes the way we train, the way we lead, and the way we show up for each other. It's hard work. It requires commitment. And it's worth it. JKR Windows is a people development company that just happens to sell windows.

About the Role

We're building a full in-house creative department and this role sits at the center of it. As our Graphic Designer you'll own the visual output across digital and print, from social graphics and marketing campaigns to event materials, internal communications, and brand collateral. You'll also work directly with our in-house development team on UI and website projects, and play a supporting role in the company's events program. Our creative team owns event production end to end, from the overall experience design to the logistics and execution on the ground.

You'll work directly with our Senior Creative Director and collaborate closely with the broader creative team. A dedicated project manager handles timelines and task coordination so you can stay focused on the work.

Why This Role

JKR has a high-quality product in a high-demand industry. Our job on the creative team is to tell that story in a way that's sharp, creative, and memorable, both to the customers deciding to trust us with their home and to the sales force that needs to feel proud of where they work. We produce internal and external marketing campaigns, sales incentives, competitions, and some of the best corporate swag in the industry.

We're building this department from scratch inside a company that's actively investing in it: brand new equipment, a brand new headquarters, and leadership that treats creative as a real driver of the business, not an afterthought.

This is a fast-paced environment. We move quickly, we try new things, and we expect the people on this team to bring their best work consistently. If you want to coast, this isn't the place. If you want real ownership, real investment, and a team that's actually building something instead of maintaining what already exists, this is it.

This is not a role for someone who treats AI as optional. We expect this person to be AI-native in how they work, using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and AI image generation as a natural part of the design process. Not as a shortcut, but as a way to move faster, prototype smarter, and spend more time on the work that actually requires a skilled human eye.

What You'll Create

  • Social media graphics across all platforms
  • Marketing campaigns and promotional materials
  • Event graphics, signage, and large-format print
  • Brand collateral and internal communications
  • Presentation decks and templates
  • Print materials including flyers, brochures, and direct mail
  • Web graphics and digital advertising assets
  • UI and website design assets
  • Recruiting and culture-focused design assets
  • Mockups and prototypes for rapid concept review
  • Branded swag and apparel

Responsibilities

  • Concept, design, and deliver high-quality assets across digital and print
  • Maintain and apply JKR brand standards consistently across all work
  • Proactively audit and update legacy documents and materials to current brand standards; this is an active and ongoing responsibility, not a one-time task
  • Collaborate with the creative team, copywriters, and project manager to execute campaigns and initiatives
  • Collaborate with our project manager to track deliverables, maintain timelines, and proactively communicate progress and blockers
  • Translate briefs and ideas into visual concepts quickly and clearly
  • Build mockups and prototypes to present concepts for review and feedback
  • Incorporate feedback efficiently and iterate without losing momentum
  • Design UI assets and collaborate directly with the in-house development team on internal software builds and website projects
  • Design and source branded swag and apparel including researching vendors, managing samples, and coordinating production timelines
  • Support the creative team in planning, designing, and executing company events; our team owns the full experience from concept through execution
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously without dropping quality
  • Use AI tools including Claude, ChatGPT, and AI image generation platforms to accelerate ideation, rapid prototyping, and production workflows
  • Write effective prompts to generate, iterate, and refine AI-assisted design work
  • Actively experiment with emerging AI and vibe coding tools to find better ways to work
  • Stay current on design trends, platform specs, and what's actually resonating visually
  • Adapt designs for a wide range of formats, platforms, and mediums

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional graphic design experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating work across both digital and print
  • Proficiency across the full Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • UI design experience with working knowledge of design-to-development handoff processes
  • Rock-solid foundation in typography, color theory, layout composition, and design principles
  • AI-native workflow: demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into real design work, not just familiarity with what they are
  • Proficiency with Claude and ChatGPT, including the ability to write effective prompts for design ideation and production
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working within a structured task management system and proactively updating status on assigned work
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present and explain design decisions clearly
  • Highly organized with strong file management and asset organization habits
  • High performer who holds themselves to a standard without needing to be managed to it

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for fast-growing or sales-driven brands
  • Experience with AI image generation tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, or similar)
  • Familiarity with vibe coding tools and basic front-end knowledge (HTML/CSS)
  • Motion graphics experience in After Effects
  • Experience designing for large-format print and event environments
  • Experience building and maintaining brand systems and design guidelines
  • Working knowledge of web design principles and digital advertising specs
  • Experience designing and sourcing branded merchandise and apparel

Culture and Expectations

At JKR Windows, we hire intentionally. We pay above market, invest heavily in our people, and provide the environment, tools, and resources for high performers to thrive. We expect that investment to be matched with consistent execution and a commitment to the standards of the role.

If, over time, the role is not the right long-term fit, we believe in moving quickly and respectfully rather than letting underperformance linger. When that decision is made by JKR, we honor the relationship with a generous severance designed to provide a stable transition into the next opportunity. We're direct about this up front because mutual respect for time, money, and energy is part of how we operate.

If you're looking for a comfortable seat where the bar is low, this is not the right role for you. If you're looking for a place that values your skill, pays you well for it, and gives you real ownership over your work, we want to hear from you.
