Job description

Description

Engrain builds map-based tech that's redefining how real estate works. Our interactive, unit-level maps and powerful data integrations help over 1,000 companies-and 30,000 properties-to make smarter decisions, streamline leasing, and deliver better renter experiences. From prospect to renewal, our products give properties a spatial brain and a visual edge when it comes to property marketing and management. And it's working: our churn rate is just 5%, and we've been putting up double-digit growth numbers every year.

We're not your typical proptech company. We move fast, we stay curious, and we don't do stale or corporate fluff. Backed by successful Seed and Series A rounds, we're entering a phase of serious scale. Engrain empowers prospective renters to explore, evaluate, and navigate apartment communities with confidence. For owners and operators, Engrain drives smarter pricing, faster leasing velocity, and more informed property design.

As the Senior Art Director, you are a strategic, hands-on visual partner to our CEO and VP of Marketing, responsible for setting and protecting the visual standard of our brand. This is a high-craft, player-coach role designed for a seasoned creative who possesses the rare combination of high-level critical thinking and elite visual execution. You will own the production, design hygiene, and evolution of our sales collateral ecosystem, turning complex technical narratives into sophisticated visual systems. Bringing the speed and operational discipline of a fast-growing, AI-fluent tech team paired with an agency-level Creative Director's eye, you understand that in B2B SaaS, sales collateral is the primary visual engine that builds credibility and closes deals.

What you'll do

  • Brand Evolution & Craft Ownership: Take flagship brand concepts (e.g., trade show booth environments, executive presentation decks) and intelligently roll out that aesthetic across our collateral ecosystem with flawless visual standards.
  • The Art of the One-Pager: Design and maintain a library of template structures for sales sheets and product overviews that balance extreme data density with high-end aesthetic polish, impeccable grid structures, and typographical hierarchy.
  • Revenue-Driving Sales Enablement: Partner directly with executive leadership to architect high-end pitch decks and collateral libraries that facilitate meaningful client conversations and drive the sales cycle forward.
  • Information Architecture & Data Visualization: Master the visualization of complex data, translating messy spreadsheets, fee structures, and software workflows into intuitive, branded visual systems.
  • Editorial Rigor & Quality Control: Serve as the final line of defense for visual polish, margin discipline, brand alignment, and textual/grammatical accuracy across all outbound Go-To-Market assets.
  • Photo Curation & Asset Direction: Select and curate visual imagery, software UI screenshots, and graphical assets that elevate our brand above generic tech tropes.
  • Systems Architecture: Build scalable template libraries, brand toolkits, and component systems that maintain quality at scale.

Requirements

What you offer us...

  • 8-10+ Years of Experience: Proven track record in B2B SaaS, PropTech, Commercial Real Estate, or high-end design agency environments.
  • Education & Background: Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical & Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma. You build files that are as clean on the inside (layers/styles) as they are on the outside. Comfort using and leveraging AI-powered creative and workflow tools to enhance speed, execution, and iteration.
  • Uncompromising Taste & Polish: An eagle eye for detail-including typography, margin balance, grid systems, copy accuracy, and photo curation.
  • PropTech & Tech Fluency: Comfortable designing for technology platforms; skilled at making complex software dashboards and workflows look modern and intuitive.
  • Professional Rationale: Ability to articulate and defend your design choices, explaining why a specific font weight, margin, or visual hierarchy directly serves the business objective.
  • Attributes & Soft Skills: Operational discipline, speed, curiosity, adaptability in a high-growth environment, and a player-coach mindset with high editorial standards.

What we offer you...

  • Salary Disclosure for Colorado: base salary of $105,000 - $120,000. Final offer amount is determined by factors including years and depth of candidate's experience, certifications, and skill set alignment to the job requirements
  • 100% coverage of employee's health, dental and vision insurance with basic plan
  • Up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Up to 18 days annually of PTO & 10 holidays per year
  • Dog-friendly office
  • 401(k) match up to 4 percent
  • Annual stipend for personal growth through our Grow475 program
  • On-site amenities including a professional fitness center, flexible & modern workspace, coffee bar, happy hour taps & team member lounge
