Job description

Principal Content Strategist

Student Learning and Certification | Adobe

The Opportunity

Creativity has the power to change the world, a belief deeply rooted at Adobe. Now we're looking for someone who believes the same about learning.

As our Lead Content Strategist, you will do more than develop learning content. You will set the standard for content creation across worldwide education programs. You will guide the overall approach for our curriculum and create the frameworks others follow, and guarantee that every learning experience demonstrates Adobe's renowned quality and expertise.

You are crafting learning experiences for diverse global users. This group includes students new to creative tools, educators preparing upcoming creative talent, and professionals in artistic, promotional, and commercial roles. These professionals need to keep their skills sharp in a fast-changing environment. Developing the curriculum for all these audiences and contexts is the responsibility.

You're joining at a moment when AI is reshaping what creative work looks like, how learning gets made, and how fast everything is moving. The Creative Cloud ecosystem is evolving quickly, and the best person for this role will be energized by that, not overwhelmed by it.

This senior individual contributor role holds significant influence within the organization. You will be the guide others turn to for defining excellence. Your experience, confidence, and communication skills will help bring that vision to life on a large scale. You have directed programs, not only projects. You have developed systems, not only content. Additionally, you offer extensive expertise in video-based content development combined with strong instructional design skills to ensure each creative choice supports a clear learning goal.

What You'll Do

Define the Strategic Direction for Content

  • Manage the complete curriculum approach for Student Learning programs. Define the structure, order, and scale of learning for students, faculty, and those working in creative, marketing, and business-related areas.
  • Set the benchmark for video-first learning at Adobe, covering production quality, instructional approach, storytelling, and learner engagement
  • Develop and govern curriculum frameworks, editorial standards, and content standards that build consistency across teams and programs
  • Apply advanced instructional development methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, backwards design) to ensure all content is pedagogically rigorous and dedicated
  • Convert the changing AI and Creative Cloud environment into curriculum that keeps learners up to date. Ensure that Adobe's learning initiatives reflect the evolution of the tools and industry.
Lead Video Learning at the Highest Level
  • Drive the development of video-based learning by writing and reviewing scripts, crafting narrative structure, and setting the bar for on-screen clarity and efficiency
  • Provide expert-level feedback on pacing, production quality, and learner impact across a high volume of content
  • Translate complex Adobe product workflows into video experiences that build real, job-relevant skills at scale
Architect AI-Enabled Content Operations
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement workflows that use advanced technology to improve scripting, production, and iteration without compromising quality
  • Establish governance standards for AI usage across the content team, balancing speed with brand and instructional integrity
Influence Across the Organization
  • Serve as a senior voice on learning strategy, bringing a point of view that builds how Adobe thinks about education at scale
  • Recruit, lead, and support knowledge specialists and outside contributors, delivering feedback that improves their work
  • Partner with program management, build, and production leadership to align priorities, remove blockers, and drive execution across complex, multi-workstream programs
  • Represent the learning function with collaborators and leadership, communicating strategy and progress with clarity and confidence
What You Bring
  • 10 or more years of experience in instructional build and curriculum development, with a clear progression into senior and principal-level scope
  • A portfolio that reflects strategic curriculum leadership across varied audiences, not just content delivery
  • Deep, hands-on experience leading video-based learning production at scale. Scripting, guiding production teams, and crafting storytelling are core to how you work, not occasional responsibilities
  • Demonstrated skill in developing and managing content standards, style guides, and curriculum frameworks that are embraced and applied across teams
  • You need hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud. A genuine curiosity about AI-powered features in Firefly, Express, Premiere Pro, and the broader CC ecosystem is important. These features are changing what learners and creators can do.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe tools including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Firefly
  • Proven ability to guide subject matter experts and external contributors at a senior level
  • A sophisticated approach to AI tools in content creation, including the judgment to know when and how to use them well
  • At ease in a fast paced setting with shifting tools, content, and learner expectations. Can make well-informed strategic decisions quickly, without delay.
  • The skill to function with significant self-direction, determine course amid unclear circumstances, and sway others absent explicit control
  • Executive-level communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to represent learning strategy to senior collaborators
Why This Role Matters

Adobe's education programs engage learners across the globe. From newcomers to marketing and business professionals advancing with Creative Cloud, the quality of our teaching composes what they can produce and perform. This role defines that quality. You won't just be contributing to that mission. You'll be developing it.
