Job description

Job Title: Local Contract - Registered Nurse - Telemetry Number of positions: 3 Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Day shifts- 40 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 04/28/2024 Hourly pay: $40.39 OT: 1.5 Weekly Pay: $1,454.04 JOB DESCRIPTION Summary Department: Float Staffing Shift Timings: 19:00-07:30 Hours 3 days 12 hour shift (Monday- Friday) Per Week: 36 Hours Roles & Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Two years required experience in specialty areas. (Med surg areas, 2S, 4N, 4S, Rehab, and tele areas, 2 South Telemetry, 3 South CVC, 2 North Observation/CRDC. BLS required, ACLS required.
  • This is a float assignment with daily staffing adjustments every 4 hrs, with potential to be pulled to a new assignment in 4hr blocks of time. Will need basic dysrhythmia testing competency.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Telemetry experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Active unencumbered RN Michigan license
  • One year of Epic experience

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
