Job description

Description& Responsibilities
The Crating Fabrication Technician is a critical member of the Operationsteam and supports the team in the storage and global shipment of aircraftcomponents and related assemblies.
• Builds crates to specifications for items to be shipped.
  • Assist with Loading and Unloading shipments onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, and containers.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Aid with inventory, if needed.
  • Maintain compliance with FAA, AFRA, & ASA guidelines and certification.
  • Utilizes Industry and UAM resources to identify and verify components.
  • Provide professional communication to both internal and external clients.
  • Strives for continuous improvements to increase efficiencies in the warehouse.
  • Perform other duties as assigned management.

Duties
  • Perform all tasks as assigned by the Supervisor to help ensure projects are conducted IAW OSHA and all, industry (AFRA/ASA), local, state and federal regulations (FAA).
    • Complete ADC Equipment Checklist daily to ensure the operational integrity of facility equipment and report any discrepancies to the Supervisors.
    • Complete ADC Facility Inspections in your assigned area to ensure the cleanliness of the facility and be sure to report any discrepancies to the Supervisors.
    • Fabricate crates as assigned by the Supervisors with the upmost craftsmanship to ensure the integrity and safe delivery of aircraft components.
  • Champion the UAM brand values, people values, community initiatives, demonstrating the vision for others, and acting as a role model both within UAM and externally.
    • Help to champion positive moral around the facility by:
      • Showing up to work with a healthy, positive attitude.
      • Maintaining a positive work ethic throughout the day.
      • Be a positive influence on your fellow team members by building them up, not belittling them.
  • Assist in material control and efficiency and labor efficiency.
    • Help to eliminate fraud waste and abuse by using only the material and supplies you need to complete a task. Any left-over material should be placed back into supply.
    • Stay constant and consistent on tasks assigned, stay busy not complacent.
    • Fabricate crates within 10% of predetermined time as outlined by Supervisors.
  • Maintain a facility of safety and ensure a safety-oriented culture.
    • Properly use proper PPE as outlined in the ADC Job Safety Analysis.
    • Ensure PPE is in proper working condition - defects need to be reported to the Supervisor.
    • Inform other team members of unsafe working conditions/practices when noticed.
      • Look out for each other.
