Job description

Craftsmen Contractors is seeking experienced Commercial Painters for the Tampa Area.

Job Duties:

  • Communicate with Supervisor to determine the painting requirements.
  • Will be doing some touch-up painting and some caulking.
  • Cover trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint.
  • Set up ventilators and other safety equipment to protect Painters from unhealthy fumes.
  • Possibly of preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they’re smooth.
  • Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces.
  • Mixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes to job specifications.
  • Applying paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers or sprayers.


Job Requirements:

  • Need to have at least 2 years of commercial painting experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with different coatings such as epoxy, etc.
  • Must have reliable transportation to drive to shop and all PPE.
  • Good color vision and aesthetic instincts is a plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Physical strength (be able to lift at least 25 lbs.), stamina and dexterity.
  • Familiarity with painting tools and materials (important)
  • Time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Collaboration and teamwork
