They may handle tasks such as carpentry, cabinetry, remodeling, and general contracting, either independently or as part of a larger team. Craftsman contractors are known for their mastery of their trade, commitment to using quality materials, and ability to deliver custom solutions tailored to clients' needs. Their work often reflects traditional or historic construction techniques, as well as modern building practices.

Job description

Scheduling Coordinator

Craftsmen Contractors
Lexington, KY | Full-Time | In-Office
Salary: $50,000–$55,000 per year

Keep Projects Moving. Keep Customers Informed. Keep the Team on Track.

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring a highly organized Scheduling Coordinator to support our growing roofing and exterior remodeling operation in Lexington.

Once a customer's project is ready for production, you will take ownership of the scheduling process-coordinating homeowners, crews, materials, vendors, project managers, and internal teams to make sure every job is ready to move forward.

This is not a basic administrative position. You will be at the center of the operation, solving problems, confirming details, communicating updates, and keeping projects from falling through the cracks.

You may be a great fit if you are naturally organized, ask thoughtful questions, follow through on commitments, and remain calm when plans change.

What You'll Do

  • Review project orders and verify that all required information is complete before scheduling.
  • Coordinate installation schedules with homeowners, crews, vendors, project managers, and internal teams.
  • Confirm material orders, delivery timelines, crew availability, and overall job readiness.
  • Communicate scheduling updates, delays, and next steps clearly and professionally.
  • Follow up consistently to make sure open items are completed and documented.
  • Respond to homeowner concerns and help de-escalate scheduling or project-related issues.
  • Identify missing information or potential problems before they delay a project.
  • Maintain accurate project notes, schedules, and customer information in AccuLynx.
  • Partner closely with production, sales, and leadership to keep the project pipeline moving.
  • Adjust schedules quickly when weather, materials, customer availability, or field conditions change.

What Success Looks Like

  • Homeowners know what to expect and receive timely updates.
  • Crews arrive with the correct information, materials, and scheduling details.
  • Scheduling conflicts are identified and addressed before they become larger problems.
  • Open tasks are followed through to completion.
  • Project information in AccuLynx is accurate and current.
  • Production, sales, and field teams have confidence in the schedule.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in scheduling, logistics, dispatch, project coordination, customer service, or administrative operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify missing or inconsistent information.
  • Excellent follow-through-you take ownership and close the loop.
  • Confidence communicating with homeowners, crews, vendors, managers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to stay calm, professional, and solutions-focused during customer escalations.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel, including sorting and filtering spreadsheets.
  • Experience using a CRM or project management system; AccuLynx experience is helpful but not required.
  • Construction, roofing, home services, logistics, or field-service experience is helpful but not required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work full-time in our Lexington office.
