Job description

WORK OBJECTIVE **Salary is based on experience and/or qualifications, and is subject to negotiation** Highly responsible position in the operation and direction of financial accounting systems for the CRA and affiliated entities. Encompasses a broad range of functions from basic bookkeeping to budget preparation, financial analysis, forecasting, tracking and reporting systems. The CRA Finance & Budget Manager works under the general direction of the CRA Executive Director or Designee and exercises considerable independent judgment in the completion of assignments.

Position requires an advanced understanding and wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in accounting and budgeting. To view full job description, please click on the job title:CRA Finance & Budget Manager MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration or related field; supplemented by five or more years' of financial, governmental accounting and budget experience, including at least one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Munis experience and knowledge in governmental fund accounting and budgeting is preferred.

Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment. In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not be limited to, evaluation of training and experience; psychological evaluation; polygraph examination; background investigation; medical evaluation; controlled substance screen.

Applicants are required to sign an affidavit for non-use of tobacco products in order to be considered for employment. ***FUTURE ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT*** This role is currently housed within the CRA and supports CRA Budget & Finance functions. As the CRA approaches its anticipated sunset in FY27, the City intends for this position to transition to the Finance Department, supporting continuity and succession planning aligned with the retirement of key personnel.

Following this transition, the position title is anticipated to be updated, consistent with the role's responsibilities and organizational structure at that time. This role offers the opportunity for expanded training, responsibility growth, and upward progression over time.
