Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmaceutical professional with expertise in sterile compounding is needed to support home infusion services in a dynamic setting. This contract-to-hire role offers an opportunity to leverage clinical and operational skills in managing patient therapies and medication delivery.
Location: Durham, NC
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday rotating shifts: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- On-call, including weekends and evenings
- Days, primarily 8 AM to 6 PM
Duration: 17 weeks, temp to direct hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee home infusion therapy management through clinical evaluation, sterile compounding, and workflow support using the CPR+ system
- Review referrals for appropriateness related to drug, dosage, route, and labs
- Initiate new patient starts, process refills, perform medication reconciliation, and provide patient counseling
- Monitor lab-dependent therapies and coordinate with healthcare providers and nursing staff
- Ensure accurate prescription entry, documentation, claim adjudication, and compliance with USP standards
- Prepare and verify sterile compounded medications with correct labeling and lot tracking
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support production and delivery workflows
- Maintain inventory and ensure safe, timely medication dispensing and delivery in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid North Carolina pharmacy license
- Proven experience in sterile compounding
- Home infusion experience preferred
- Proficiency with CPR+ computer system is highly advantageous
