Job description

Compass Medical Provider, LLC is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented professional to serve in a dual role as both a CPR Instructor and AED Inspector/Technician. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) training and ensuring Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are properly inspected, maintained, and compliant across multiple Michigan locations.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable teaching groups, and experienced in medical device inspection and compliance documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

CPR / BLS Instruction

ยท Conduct 12-14 CPR/BLS classes annually with up to 12 participants per class.

ยท Deliver instruction in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) standards.

ยท Collect and input studentsโ€™ information for BLS certification cards

ยท Travel to designated training sites across Michigan.

ยท Maintain a detailed class roster.

AED Inspection & Maintenance

ยท Perform biannual inspections and maintenance of all assigned AED units.

ยท Replace pads, batteries, or other components if damaged, expired, used, or set to expire before the next inspection cycle.

ยท Document expiration dates and all replacements on inspection reports.

ยท Provide required accessory supplies with each AED.

ยท Support inspections of newly installed AEDs at existing or newly identified facilities.

Qualifications

ยท Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Instructor certification (required).

ยท Experience teaching CPR/BLS courses.

ยท Experience inspecting and maintaining AED equipment or similar medical devices preferred.
