The Location
Northern Michigan is where the Midwest comes to vacation. Based in Traverse City, you will enjoy four distinct seasons along pristine freshwater shorelines. From championship golf and family-friendly ski hills to local vineyards and cherry farms, the lifestyle offers limitless outdoor recreation and the opportunity for significant acreage and a high quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Consultation: Conduct comprehensive consultations, reviewing medical history and examining files to provide optimal surgical and reconstructive options.
  • Clinical Education: Clearly outline the risks and benefits of procedures, ensuring patients are well-informed and comfortable.
  • Surgical Excellence: Perform a range of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries, including breast, body, and trauma-related cases.
  • Continuum of Care: Manage all pre-operative preparation and post-operative follow-up, including wound management and monitoring healing progress.
  • Collaborative Call: Participate in a reasonable 1:5 call rotation at Munson Medical Center (Level 2 Trauma Center).
  • Practice Integration: Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to the evolution of clinic policies and administrative excellence.

Requirements
  • Medical Degree (MD/DO) and an active license (or eligibility) to practice in the state of Michigan.
  • Completed Residency in Plastic Surgery; additional training in cosmetic or reconstructive surgery is a plus.
  • Clinical Competence: Sound understanding of patient aftercare, wound management, and surgical safety.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-term trust within a loyal community.
  • Detail-Oriented: A commitment to impeccable bedside manner and high-standard clinical outcomes.
  • Ambitious Mindset: A desire to grow a practice and eventually move into a partnership role.
