Des Moines Plastic Surgery is a successful, busy, and well-established 100% Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Practice looking for the right BC/BE Plastic Surgeon. A surgeon who is the right fit will have a passion for aesthetics, value a positive and drama-free culture, and appreciate a professional team focused on the patient experience and excellent outcomes. The ideal candidate is proficient in face, breast, and body cosmetic surgeries. The practice offers nonsurgical treatments such as Laser Lift, SmartLipo, injectables, laser resurfacing, etc.
The facility is home to a private On-Site Operating Facility dedicated exclusively to cosmetic surgery - from facelifts and tummy tucks to breast augmentation and liposuction. All consultation, surgery, recovery, and postoperative care take place in one familiar environment with the same knowledgeable and friendly staff who follow our patients throughout the process. The On-Site Operating Facility allows for a next-level standard of care and privacy throughout their experience.

As a plastic surgeon, your responsibilities will include consulting with patients before surgery, advising them on the best surgical options and associated risks, and performing surgeries and patient follow-ups. You should have excellent communication skills, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Responsibilities:
  • Meeting with patients to take their medical history and examine their files to provide them with the best surgical options
  • Outlining all the risks and benefits associated with the surgery before the procedure
  • Preparing patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures
  • Prescribing medication and providing aftercare to patients
  • Handling various administrative duties like updating patient records and clinic policies

Requirements
  • A degree in medicine and a medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Completion of a residency program
  • Additional courses and training in cosmetic surgery
  • Years of practical experience in surgery
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and impeccable bedside manner
