Junior Retail Media Specialist

Reports To: Director of Sales Operations & Marketing

Position Overview

The Junior Retail Media Specialist will support the development, execution, and optimization of retail media programs with a primary focus on in-store media and shopper marketing initiatives. This role will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Creative, Retail Partners, and external vendors to help bring impactful retail campaigns to life across key retail channels.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about retail marketing, consumer behavior, and executing programs that drive sales at the shelf. This role is ideal for an early-career marketing professional looking to grow within retail media, shopper marketing, and CPG brand activation.


Key Responsibilities

Retail Media & In-Store Marketing Support

  • Assist in the planning and execution of in-store retail media campaigns across key retail partners.
  • Coordinate development and deployment of point-of-sale materials, signage, displays, and promotional assets.
  • Support retailer-specific marketing initiatives including digital circulars, in-store screens, shopper marketing programs, and retail media networks.
  • Help ensure retail programs are executed on time, within budget, and aligned with brand standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Creative, and external agency/vendor partners to support campaign execution.
  • Assist in managing creative requests and routing materials through internal approval processes.
  • Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and asset distribution for retailer programs and activations.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track campaign performance metrics and assist in preparing post-program recaps and presentations.
  • Support reporting efforts related to retail media investments, promotional effectiveness, and sales impact.
  • Maintain organized records of retailer programs, campaign assets, and marketing materials.

Project & Vendor Management

  • Communicate with print vendors, media partners, and promotional suppliers to ensure timely execution.
  • Help manage inventory and fulfillment of in-store marketing materials.
  • Support event and activation logistics as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, shopper marketing, retail media, account management, or related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Familiarity with retail media networks, shopper marketing, or CPG marketing is a plus.
  • Experience working with creative teams, agencies, or retail partners preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
