Echo Lake Foods is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Private Label Retail Account Manager to lead the development, management, and growth of private label accounts across national and regional retail partners. This role will be integral in driving sales, building long-term strategic partnerships, and executing private label strategies that align with our company's goals. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of sales expertise, category insight, and product development knowledge to deliver meaningful value to both our customers and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute private label strategies across national and regional retail accounts.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new private label business opportunities.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with retail buyers, category managers, R&D teams, and private label manufacturers.
  • Manage product portfolios including margin analysis, pricing strategies, promotional planning, and brand development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments (R&D, marketing, operations, quality, finance) to meet customer expectations.
  • Leverage market and consumer insights to develop data-driven selling strategies and compelling presentations.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events such as PLMA.
  • Utilize CRM systems for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Participate in joint business planning and provide accurate sales forecasts and projections.
  • Lead product innovation clinics or solution demos to support new product introductions.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of sales or account management experience in private label or CPG retail channels.
  • Proven track record of managing broker relationships and launching private label or branded products.
  • Experience working with major retail chains and private label ecosystems.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM preferred.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel as business needs require.
